What exactly is a paint protection film made from?

STEK Paint Protection Film products are made from a flexible and fully transparent polyurethane layer, applied with adhesive to the exterior of an automobile to help it stay safe from common minor surface defects and rock chips.
What surfaces is paint protection film applied to?

PPF is meant to prevent swirl marks, light scratching, rock chips, oxidation, and etching from causing your finish to look unsightly.
